Clinical Grade: USP Type I Glass for IVD & Pharma
Reliability is non-negotiable in medical diagnostics and pharmaceuticals. Thousand Peak Glass specializes in USP Type I (Neutral Borosilicate) and USP Type II/III glass packaging. Our primary focus is on IVD (In Vitro Diagnostic) Reagent Bottles, Lyophilization Vials, and Chromatography Vials. Manufactured in clean-room environments, our containers offer superior hydrolytic resistance to prevent glass delamination and ensure pH stability for sensitive reagents and vaccines.
TECHNICAL SPECS & GUIDE
1. Hydrolytic Resistance (Type I Glass)For diagnostic reagents and injectable drugs, the glass must not alter the solution. We use Neutral Borosilicate Glass (COE 5.0 / 7.0), which has the highest resistance to thermal shock and chemical leaching, meeting EP (European Pharmacopoeia) and USP standards.
2. Controlled Dimensions for AutomationIVD labs often use automated filling and testing lines. Our tubular vials are produced with tight dimensional tolerances (±0.1mm) to ensure they run smoothly on high-speed capping and filling machines without jamming.
3. Closure Integrity: Butyl & AluminumTo maintain a sterile environment, we supply Butyl Rubber Stoppers (for lyophilization) and Aluminum Crimp Seals (Flip-off caps). These provide an airtight, hermetic seal essential for long-term storage of sensitive biological samples.
