Precision for Diagnostics: Inert Glass for Sensitive Reagents
In the world of In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and Chromatography, the container is an integral part of the analytical system. Thousand Peak Glass provides a comprehensive range of Diagnostic Vials and Reagent Bottles engineered for chemical inertness and dimensional stability. Whether you are packaging antibodies, buffer solutions, or HPLC samples, our Neutral Borosilicate Glass ensures that there is no ion leaching that could alter the pH or interfere with test results. Our vials are designed to run smoothly on automated analyzers from major brands (e.g., Roche, Abbott, Beckman).
TECHNICAL SPECS & GUIDE
1. Glass Expansion Coefficients: 3.3 vs. 5.0/7.0
Borosilicate 3.3: The gold standard for thermal shock resistance. Ideal for chromatography headspace vials that undergo high heating.
Borosilicate 5.0/7.0 (Neutral Glass): The standard for liquid reagents. It balances cost and chemical stability, meeting USP Type I hydrolytic resistance requirements.
2. Thread & Closure Systems
Screw Neck (GL Threads): We offer standard GL14, GL18, and GL45 finishes. Our caps feature PTFE/Silicone Septa which provide a chemically resistant barrier while allowing for needle penetration (for autosamplers) without coring.
Crimp Top: For Headspace and GC/HPLC vials, ensuring a pressure-tight seal for volatile samples.
3. Dimensional Tolerance for AutomationAutomated liquid handlers are unforgiving. A deviation of just 0.5mm can cause a machine jam or needle crash. We enforce strict quality control on the O.D. (Outer Diameter) and Total Height of our IVD vials to ensure 100% compatibility with robotic arms and trays.
